Strategies and tools in implementing Gender Mainstreaming

The project Challenging Actions in Gender Mainstreaming* started in August 2004 in Luxembourg and is now finished in June 2006 in Hannover.

In addition to exchange our experiences (see the links to the meetings) we wrote a Gender Mainstreaming handbook called "A taste of Gender Mainstreaming". It is a short and easy-to-understand manual about Gender Mainstreaming. The manual contains an introduction to Gender Mainstreaming, several exercises for gender training, some typical Gender Mainstreaming instruments for use in organisations and tools to evaluate the outcomes.
