Meeting No. 1: Hanover, Germany

The agenda of the meeting

At this first meeting, it was important to get to know each other. For this reason, all the partners gave presentations on themselves, their organisations, their professional background and their daily work.

The next step was to give the first impressions of two creatice methods. So, Mänz + Rossmann showed at first a DVD-Video from a Playback Theatre performance. It was produced by Hudson River Playback Theatre and the School of Playback Theatre in the USA. It includes:

• A complete performance from beginning to end in front of a live audience
• An introductory commentary for viewers new to Playback Theatre by founder Jonathan Fox
• A conductor's commentary for experienced practitioners by Hudson River Playback Theatre artistic director Jo Salas

After a short introduction to Appreciative Inquiry, we planned the timeline and organized the next steps, e.g. a Playback Theatre training in Dublin.
